Solar Powered Outdoor Pet Tolerant Wireless PIR, used in conjunction with our KP Alarm Systems, designed to be used outside and will only detect animals over 25 kilo, perfect for avoiding false alarms.
The PIR has the latest dual element passive Infrared Detectors and is designed to be wall mounted at approximately 1.8 - 2.4 metres high, it has adjustable sensitivity & detection pattern settings and can detect up to 12 metres away.
Please Note: It is important to position the PIR so that people would be crossing the PIR rather than walking towards it, this is due to the twin PIR's designed to avoid triggers from small animals.
The Solar Panel will charge and maintain the built in batteries, the batteries can operate up to 8 days without any daylight, it is possible to use a 12v DC supply for locations with access to a power supply or internal applications.
The Wireless transmission back to either of the KP GSM Alarm Panels is 100 metres (line of sight), the PIR is fully weatherproof (IP65) and has a built in tamper switch.
The ideal installation for these PIR's is directly onto the outside of a building you want to protect, with the relevant GSM Alarm Control Panel being locked away inside the buidling (additional internal alarm sensors could be added such as Door Contacts, Vibration Sensors, PIR's, Smoke Detectors to increase the security).
